Planning a family trip to KL or Penang, and bringing your Myanmar helper along?
Good news... since 1 October 2025, she doesn't need a visa for a short trip, as long as she flies in.

Does She Need a Visa?
If your trip runs longer than 14 days, or you pop over to Malaysia often, apply for a Multiple Entry Visa instead.
Long-term passes (Medical, MM2H, Spouse, Student, Work or Employment) also still need a proper visa.
What Should She Bring?
- Return ticket
- Trip itinerary
- Hotel booking or proof of where she's staying
- Invitation letter, if there is one
- Her Singapore work permit
Personally, I'd keep everything in one folder. Immigration on both sides can be strict, and you don't want surprises at the start of your holiday.
Can the 14 Days Be Extended?
No. It's strictly 14 days.
It can't be extended, and it can't be converted into another pass.
Is Entry Guaranteed?
No. Even without a visa, the immigration officer at the airport has the final say.
If they're not satisfied, they can refuse entry... which is why the documents above matter.
