Housekeepers' Agency is a Singapore-based maid agency in Far East Shopping Center.
They specialises in Myanmar, Indonesian and Filipino maids... new, ex-Singapore and transfer maids...
and have their own training centers overseas to ensure quality training.
Note: This agency is NOT the same as (or related to) Homekeeper Maid Agency, which is one of the largest agencies in Singapore.
I met up with the boss for Housekeepers' Agency, and was pleasantly surprised with one of their interesting initiatives.
This maid agency hosts a buffet every month for their maids to gather and interact.

The boss (right) and his maids on their recent monthly buffet gathering. All these maids are now working with their employers.
When you are miles away from your country, and can get an off day once a week (or monthly) … such gatherings organised by the agency really help to let them meet and bond.
Even though the maid is “transacted”, she still maintains contact with the agency and her fellow friends, while getting free food at the event.
The boss told me it's like the maid come back to 娘家 (mum's home)... a safe place where she can be herself, and catch up with "family".
With such monthly gatherings... the maid’s social well being is taken care of - happy maid, happy employer!
And to encourage maids to be resilient and stay longer with their employers, the agency also hold a prize giving ceremony during this monthly event.
If a maid stays more than 6 months with their employer, they get presented with a cash prize.
This prize giving ceremony celebrates the maid's willpower to do her best for the employer, and be a stayer...
setting a good example for the other maid attendees - staying long with an employer should be a NORM, not an exception.
I like the way that this agency see the sponsoring of the monthly buffet as a win-win-win for all 3 parties (maid, employer, agency)
So if you are looking for a good maid agency, consider dropping down to Far East Shopping Center to visit them.
