 How much is a maid paid in Filipino?

The minimum salary for a maid in Filipino was initially S$ 550, but it has now gone up to S$ 570 due to the good services the maids offer.

The Philippine Overseas Labour Office states that it will require agencies to submit more documents and will conduct random checks so that the employers do not make unnecessary deductions from the salaries of their maids.

The new rules were put in place after too many complains from Filipino maids regarding much deductions from their salaries for payment of replacement fee. This is an illegal practice even from the maid agencies in Filipino. In the last two years, the Philippines raised the minimum salary for a maid from $500 to $550.

The Association of Employment Agencies in Filipino says that the increase is unlikely to have a major impact on hiring Filipinas, as employers prefer their skills and language abilities

The Agencies reports that, in order for them to stay competitive, they have to increase the fee paid by the employers so as to be offered a maid for an interview, otherwise there will be no enough supply
